Insecure Bips wants John out of Chenab Gandhi

John Abraham has replaced Hurman Baweja in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s production Chenab Gandhi to be directed by Vibhu Puri. But John’s girlfriend Bipasha Basu wants him out of the project. Reason? Vidya Balan plays John’s heroine.John and Vidya were last seen together in Nikhil Advani’s flop flick, Salaam-E-Ishq 2007). While they shared good on screen chemistry, their off screen chemistry was more talked about.John was also apparently seen Vidya giving a bike ride at Bandstand during the shooting of the film. All this had made Bipasha quiet jealous that time and the couple even had fights over it. John for long after that never signed any film opposite Vidya and vice-versa.Hoping Bips must have forgotten the Vidya chapter since it was 2 and half years since it had taken place, John signed Chenab Gandhi opposite Vidya. But Bips has not.Sources inform, “Bipasha has been coaxing John to step out of the project. John on the other hand doesn’t want to let go off a Sanjay Leela Bhansali project. While the film was scheduled to start in April, it has now got postponed to December 2009 because of John’s delay in allotting dates.This delay from John has been on purpose because he hopes by then Bipasha would cool down. But it doesn’t seem so, as the couple has again begun to have arguments over this issue.”Chenab is a period film that is based on life of famous freedom fighter from the North West Frontier province, Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan who was also known as Chenab Gandhi. Amitabh Bachchan is playing the title role..

Bong babe Bipasha Basu is set to sizzle with another younger hero( after Ranbir Kapoor) in 'Freeze'. The latest is that the movie directed by newcomer director Jehangir Surti has been renamed as 'Aa Dekhen Zara'.The Producer of the film and Executive Director, Eros Pictures Vikram Rajani has a very interesting comment to make.He'd reportedly stated, "What is Freeze? The film was always called Aa Dekhen Zara. I don't know how people called the film 'Freeze'. That was just a working title we had in mind. We've had the title 'Aa Dekhen Zara' registered long time back."The film with dusky Bips and 'fair and lovely' Neil is reportedly a romantic thriller. It is nearing completion and the buzz is that would release sometime next year.We wonder how the romance between the unlikely pair turns to be like. This surely seems like a movie to look forward to!

Bipasha Without Jhon uncharacteristically depressed

.Bipasha Basu is uncharacteristically depressed. She couldn't head back home to Kolkata for Durga Puja along with her family."I wanted to go to Kolkata for Durga Puja. It's a family puja started by my grandfather and we've kept up the tradition every year. The whole family makes it a point to be in Kolkata for the family puja. But I can't!"The last time Bipasha attended the family puja it was five years ago. "And it was a disaster. John had accompanied me for the Puja. And the entire focus shifted from the solemnity of the occasion. We were mobbed. It was so embarrassing."But Bipasha would have liked to be in Kolkata this year. " Every year it has become the same.For the last five years I've been trying my level-best to make it home to Kolkata. But it never works out. This year I'm busier than ever.I'm totally drained out with rehearsals meeting and preparations for my Kashmiri's role in Lamhaa which starts very shortly. I'm doing my looks, clothes, not to mention my diction and action classes. It's a hectic exhausting time for me."So no time to go to Kolkata for Puja. "Durga Puja is the best time of the year for every Bengali.I get into a major sulk because here in Mumbai I don't get to be with the family while they're busy with the festivities in Kolkata. Every year my parents and sisters go. I can't. I get very lonely as I depend on my mom for all ritualitic puja.This year my younger sister Vijayeta is giving her exams in Mumbai. So she too had to stay back. So it's the two of us girls at home missing out on all the festivities on Kolkata."To top it all John is away shooting in New York.Sighs Bipasha, "Normally on Asthami John and I go to a pandaal closeby to pray. But this year even he wasn't there."Otherwise Bipasha describes her relationship with God as conversational. "My everyday interaction with God is one-to-one. I don't know any religious mantras though I love to hear my mom when she chants the shlokas and mantras during any puja in my house." .

Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu plays the alter ego of a cross dressed boy who fantasises about her in "Pankh".Bipasha will be seen as the alter ego of 20-year-old protagonist Jerry, played by debutant Maradona Rebello.Explaining the complexity of the story, director Sudipto Chattopadhyay said: "Bipasha is Jerry's fantasy and exists only in his mind. She is his alter ego and loves to provoke him at the drop of a hat.""Jerry's character is very complex. The film shows him as a famous child artiste. He cross-dresses as a girl for his roles and is confused about his identity. There is also a song in the film where he fantasises about Bipasha seducing him, creating confusion in his mind about his real identity."He doesn't know whether he is a man, woman or a eunuch. Bipasha is his only solace from the ugly reality of life, " added Chattopadhyay.Sanjay Gupta is producing this film. It stars actors like Lilette Dubey and Mahesh Manjrekar.

I read a journalist taunting me about how serious I tried to sound about being chosen the sexiest woman in Asia. I'd just like see how she'd react if she got the same title. I'm sure any man or woman would be flattered being called the sexiest. I don't see why I've to justify myself for being happy about being called sexy. I feel elated about it. You can't take it away.How do you define sexy?It's defined differently from person to person. Those who know me know I'm a very down-to-earth girl with no pretensions to being a diva. For me being sexy is an amalgamation of many factors. Definitely a good physique and a Perfect-10 for health. A good face helps. But confidence, poise and intelligence are musts. Just a body won't do.How do you fob off unwanted attention?I've no time or opportunity to think about unwanted attention. Most of the day I'm at work. Besides sets the only place I go to is the gym. Otherwise I enjoy being at home. I may be a very sexy person. But I lead a very boring life."Unwanted attention? Yes there're intrusions. I completely shut it out. I've been blessed with blindness. I wear a robe on the sets only when I'm extremely cold. I know it gives people a shock to see me walking up and down in shorts. But my logic is simple. I can't see them. So they can't see me.Do you wear non-comfort clothes for a role?No, I think it's very important for me be comfortable in what I'm wearing even on screen. I'm in good shape and I am not body-conscious. There's no clothing that would look alarming on me. Having said that I must say I live in a protected environment and can wear what I want and be how I want. I've people cordoning off what you call unwanted attention. I don't represent the working- class girl. But I do understand the predicament of the girl on the road because I used to be one.So how do you advice the girl on the road to dress and behave?She certainly can't be as carefree as me. She has to dress correctly. And if anything untoward happens with the opposite gender she should take it on headlong. If I see rubbish going on around me I react. I've slapped people on the road. I'm quite fiery. No one can mess with me. My sister in Kolkata travels by local train. But she knows how to take care of herself. She doesn't need a man to keep her secure on her roads.Does having John by your side keep away the wolves?If they want to be unbecoming they ignore John. However if he stands right next to me he can become very intimidating. I'm told even I'm intimidating. When I'm at work I don't tolerate any shoddiness. My logic is simple. If I give a hundred percent I expect others to do the same. People are on their toes when they're working with me. .
