A couple of months ago we bought to you a news, where a friend of Katrina complained that Salman never watches any of Kat’s movies while she watches his every movie.So when Salman was asked about the same in a recent interview, Salman says, “Yes I don’t. Once I saw she was wearing a really small skirt and I didn’t like it. But then you have to sometimes chill and let it go. And I don’t have a choice, and it’s better to stay away from those things. I mean I see the promos and get an idea of what is going to be in the film, so it’s better to stay away from that.”Quiz him, whether he advises Katrina on her career, she says, “No, she’s a grown up girl. Initially I did, but after that you have to let them go. She’s good at making her own decision about choosing films and what to do. Earlier she used ask me check a couple of her scenes because of her dubbing but now I don’t do that. But this time they had professional commitments in Houston due to Independence Day. They also had to attend a meet and greet event in Chicago. They reached Chicago late evening on August 15 to attend an event with Shah Rukh and Katrina.” Saif and Kareena flew to an undisclosed location near Chicago to spend their vacation, “Kareena planned the four-day holiday as she wanted to surprise Saif. Kareena turning nostalgic about Independence Day says, “As a child, she would hold elder sis Karisma Kapoor’s hand and toddle off to the RK Studios in Chembur in Mumbai where grandfather Raj Kapoor had a ceremony every Independence Day for the children in the family. Holi, rang barse and bhang, Rajji had for the elders! Then, when Karisma entered Bollywood and the sisters stayed with their mother in Lokhandwala, as a girl of nine or ten she used to attend the housing society’s Independence Day functions. But for the last five years, now, she has been out of the country on August 15. And while the patriotic surge is there, the ears strain to catch Jana Gana Mana wherever she is, it’s not the same as being in India on Independence Day.”

Bollywood superstar SRK, who has a wide following in US, was detained yesterday at Newark Airport because his surname Khan was on immigration authorities suspicion list.SRK on his way to attend a South Asian event in US on the eve of Independence day was not even allowed to make a phone call. SRK says, “The US has developed religious paranoia over the years. My guard was also denied a visa because he has the same last name as mine. They said I can’t use my phone.” “I was really hassled at the American Airport because of my name being Khan…The couple of hours of interrogation wanting to know if I know anyone in America while all around people were vouching for me from India and Pakistan (sic).” “I told them I was a movie star and had recently visited the country for the shooting of my film. Nothing seemed to convince the immigration officer. There were other immigration officers who even vouched for me but this particular officer did not listen to anyone. I even told them I had an invitation from the South Asian community and was there to attend an event.’’ “Only these guys just would not let me through. Finally they allowed me to make a call, which I did and the Indian Consulate helped me through. “It was absolutely was uncalled for I think, me having just finished working there for more than a month…just a couple of weeks ago. They said I have a common name which is causing the delay…checked my bags…I felt angry and humiliated.”SRK recently came back after finishing the shooting of his latest movie My Name is Khan from US,where ironically he plays the role of a terror suspect..

Salman Khan fans will get a treat of their lifetime as our very own Sallu bhai is all set to sing after a gap of 10 years. Composer duo Sajid Wajid have made the Bollywood superstar sing the song 'Most Wanted Track' in Boney Kapoor's Wanted. The song is the most electrifying one in the album and sets the tone for the movie. The composer duo said that song will be a proper one and Salman won't just mouth a few dialogues.Buzz up! This is not the first time Salman Khan will be trying his hand at playback singing. He had done it in movies like Yuvraaj and Chal Mere Bhai but his only proper song still remains to be 'Chandi ki daal par from the 1999 movie Hello Brother. He has issued informal apologies to both Shahid Kapoor, ex beau of Kareena Kapoor, and director Vishal Bhardwaj for falsely claiming that he was offered the role in Kaminey before Shahid.Buzz up! Saif created a furore recently by alleging that he was the first to be offered the lead role in Kaminey. To his surprise, Shahid didn't react to his comments. Now, he seems to be feeling guilty. He admitted that he lied by saying that he was offered the role, as director Vishal only mentioned the film to him. He has now offered apologies to both the actor and director for the comments.Shahid is cool as ever. He said that he has nothing much to say on the issue as he didn't started it. It was just weeks back that a Mumbai tabloid went on and on about an alleged clandestine relationship between Katrina Kaif and John Abraham while they were shooting their film together, New York.Though the talks now have died down what with both Kat and John vehemently denying any such thing having happened, it cant be denied that Katrina’s rapport with boyfriend Salman Khan has not exactly been great since then.Adding to her woes now is an offer from Dev D maker Anurag Kashyap to star in his next opposite John Abraham.It is learnt that the maverick film maker is making a series of movies about life in Mumbai and John is the only one who has been officially signed up so far.Anurag apparently has also sent the script across to Katrina who seems to have loved it.
