Contrary to reports that Shah Rukh Khan's shoulder would've healed on its own if he didn't have to do serious stunts right away, the actor's shoulder needed immediate and urgent repairing.Says a source, "As usual Shah Rukh was busy making light of his discomfort even hours after surgery. But the fact is, the injury was far more serious than it appeared.The doctors had recommended quick and urgent surgery months ago. But the workaholic that he is, Shah Rukh kept postponing the inevitable surgery until after Karan Johar's schedule of My Name Is Khan and the promotion of Billu Barbar."The healing process after the surgery is going to take at least a couple of months. Says a source, "Karan Johar has willingly postponed the next schedule.But Shabana Azmi who was supposed to play Shah Rukh's mother would not have the required dates. Her role would now have to be recast as per Shah Rukh's recovery and renewal of shooting."Meanwhile Amitabh Bachchan also visited Shah Rukh Khan at his residence Mannat here."I had sent him (Shah Rukh) a message for his speedy recovery. He called back to thank and inform me that he is home. 'I was getting depressed in hospital, so came away', he said, " Amitabh posted on his blog.Amitabh messaged him: "I was planning to visit you in the hospital" and Shah Rukh replied saying: "Come home sir, we shall play some games.""Don't take after surgery too lightly, I warned him and take rest and do not get into any kind of activity. Aishwarya Rai beats Khans, is most bankable Indian star

Forbes has listed Aishwarya Rai as India's most bankable star in Hollywood, pushing down the Khans of Bollywood in the ratings of the best bet for a film's financial success.Aishwarya is among six Bollywood actors in the new Forbes list of Hollywood's Most Valuable Actors. Other Indians on the list compiled by the American business magazine are Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Irrfan Khan and Hrithik Roshan.Although at 387th position in the global list of as many as 1,411 actors from across the world, Aishwarya is ranked highest among all Indian actors and is the only female actor from the country who made it to this elite club.The list also includes Indian American actor Kal Penn, whose films include "The Namesake". I reluctantly turned him down.He even suggested that I write whatever I wanted and his words Love mera hit hit would be fitted into my lyrics. But that's not the way I work. I never will. So I wrote just three of the songs in Billu and left the project. "Gulzar Saab doesn't allow even a word of his lyrics to be tampered with. "There have been a number of occasions when I've opted out because I wasn't comfortable with the words that I was supposed to write. "During Sanjay Chel's Khubsoorat Gulzar Saab opted out when the director wanted a word substituted by another."But the funniest incident occurred when I wrote the children song Chaddhi pehan ke phool khila hai for Jungle Book. Someone said the word chaddhi was vulgar. Could I change it to lungi? I stuck to my chaddhi. "And now Gulzar Saab is all set to attend the Oscars. "If my suit is ready in time. Or if I get the right fit from Maganlal Dresswala (the oldest provider of costumes for film units)," jokes the poet..

When Katrina approached Akshaye to talk to him, he used to reply in short sentences (in his characteristic style). Once, when he was playing chess, Katrina asked him if she could join in too. Soon, it became their routine on the sets during each and every break during the film's shoot. Today, in hindsight, she believes that Akshaye was smart enough to shut Katrina by making her play the game. Reason? During the game of chess one can't talk much and hence it was the best idea that Akshaye applied to keep her quiet! My food? Rice in milk!Guess what's Katrina's favorite food? Farhan, get some better PJs!The pretty lady does have guts and confidence. In the show, when Farhan was getting carried away with his PJs, Katrina offered help. Mannat under attack: Shah Rukh is scared

Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan said Friday he was worried for the safety of his wife and two children after his house Mannat was attacked by unknown people who had apparently misinterpreted the lyrics of a song in just-released "Billu" and reacted."I got scared. I got worried about my children and wife, but they are fine. I don't think there is any place safer than my home. I'm in London for a check up. I will be back home the day after tomorrow," Shah Rukh told a TV channel over phone from London. Clarifying the confusion about the lyrics, the actor said: "They thought we are referring to the Prophet in the song. But it has been sorted out. They have seen the film and now its clear to them that the lyrics weren't referring to the Prophet." A burning kerosene bottle had been thrown in the premises of his sea facing house Mannat early in the morning. According to an officer of Bandra Police station, two men came to Shah Rukh's bungalow, at Bandra Bandstand around 2.30 a.m. They lit a bottle full of kerosene and flung it over the gates before fleeing. The security guards were caught unawares, the police said.The police said a case was registered and they are searching for the culprits. There was no damage to property as the flaming missile landed in the garden. .

What Kareena did in IIM Bangalore hostel

Kareena Kapoor is back to Mumbai after shooting for her part in Bangalore's IIM campus for Rajkumar Hirani's 3 Idiots. Our sources inform she had a ball shooting and enjoyed every moment there staying in the campus itself. Our source reveals, "Kareena too like her co-star in the film, Aamir Khan decided to stay in the campus hostel of IIM Bangalore after she arrived there in early January. Making the most out of her stay, she made it a point to mix around with the students, giving them tips on fitness as well as how to deal with stress. She would often be seen interacting with few students about their management studies and the pressure they go through during examination time. She used to share her own real life college hostel experiences during her school days and her experiences at Howard University. When someone asked her about her diet and how she keeps fit. Bebo talked about her fitness routine and how she jogs every morning."After the Bangalore shoot ends, the film will be about 80% complete. The makers then intend to shoott the remaining portion in Mumbai. The film based on Chetan Bhagat's best seller Five Point Someone is set for a worldwide release on December 25th.
