Kareena Kapoor : Saif not flamboyant in real life !!!

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor, who doesn't like to make her private life public, has opened up about beau Saif Ali Khan and says he is not as flamboyant in real life as he looks on screen."Saif is very different (from his on screen image). On screen I think he is very flamboyant, but in real life he is very understated and relaxed, " said Kareena."He is very classy but he has an amazing charm about himself, an inherent charm which can be seen on screen. And I think that is what's there with him personally also, " she told choreographer-director Farah Khan on STAR Plus' chat show "Tere Mere Beach Mein".The episode featuring Kareena will be aired Saturday at 9 p.m.

A couple of months ago we bought to you a news, where a friend of Katrina complained that Salman never watches any of Kat’s movies while she watches his every movie.So when Salman was asked about the same in a recent interview, Salman says, “Yes I don’t. Once I saw she was wearing a really small skirt and I didn’t like it. But then you have to sometimes chill and let it go. And I don’t have a choice, and it’s better to stay away from those things. I mean I see the promos and get an idea of what is going to be in the film, so it’s better to stay away from that.”Quiz him, whether he advises Katrina on her career, she says, “No, she’s a grown up girl. Initially I did, but after that you have to let them go. She’s good at making her own decision about choosing films and what to do. Earlier she used ask me check a couple of her scenes because of her dubbing but now I don’t do that. But this time they had professional commitments in Houston due to Independence Day. They also had to attend a meet and greet event in Chicago. They reached Chicago late evening on August 15 to attend an event with Shah Rukh and Katrina.” Saif and Kareena flew to an undisclosed location near Chicago to spend their vacation, “Kareena planned the four-day holiday as she wanted to surprise Saif. They don’t want to reveal the location and will be back in Mumbai only by the end of this week,” adds the source.

Kareena turning nostalgic about Independence Day says, “As a child, she would hold elder sis Karisma Kapoor’s hand and toddle off to the RK Studios in Chembur in Mumbai where grandfather Raj Kapoor had a ceremony every Independence Day for the children in the family. Holi, rang barse and bhang, Rajji had for the elders! Then, when Karisma entered Bollywood and the sisters stayed with their mother in Lokhandwala, as a girl of nine or ten she used to attend the housing society’s Independence Day functions. But for the last five years, now, she has been out of the country on August 15. And while the patriotic surge is there, the ears strain to catch Jana Gana Mana wherever she is, it’s not the same as being in India on Independence Day.”

Bollywood superstar SRK, who has a wide following in US, was detained yesterday at Newark Airport because his surname Khan was on immigration authorities suspicion list.SRK on his way to attend a South Asian event in US on the eve of Independence day was not even allowed to make a phone call. SRK says, “The US has developed religious paranoia over the years. My guard was also denied a visa because he has the same last name as mine. They said I can’t use my phone.” “I was really hassled at the American Airport because of my name being Khan…The couple of hours of interrogation wanting to know if I know anyone in America while all around people were vouching for me from India and Pakistan (sic).” “I told them I was a movie star and had recently visited the country for the shooting of my film. Nothing seemed to convince the immigration officer. There were other immigration officers who even vouched for me but this particular officer did not listen to anyone. I even told them I had an invitation from the South Asian community and was there to attend an event.’’ “Only these guys just would not let me through. Finally they allowed me to make a call, which I did and the Indian Consulate helped me through. “It was absolutely was uncalled for I think, me having just finished working there for more than a month…just a couple of weeks ago. They said I have a common name which is causing the delay…checked my bags…I felt angry and humiliated.”SRK recently came back after finishing the shooting of his latest movie My Name is Khan from US,where ironically he plays the role of a terror suspect..
